Audioquest Golden Gate Shielded Turntable Cable with RCA Connectors, Grounding and Premium PSC Copper Conductors
The new GOLDEN GATE TURNTABLE turntable cable promises better cable connection and added value based on AudioQuest's proven technologies. GOLDEN GATE cables guarantee a level of detail that is completely unusual in this category and at this price. The essence of quality is Perfect-Surface Copper technology, which increases the performance of the cable far above other competitors.
What is the solidity of the material
Solid Perfect-Surface Copper Conductors or PSC means a very smooth copper surface of the conductor. This great technology is a patent of AudioQuest, where the use and processing of the metal protects the surface of the wire in each of its specifications. PSC cables were born using exceptional technology for ultra-pure copper. The resulting sound effect at the highest level is a matter of course and priority. PSC outperforms all previously used copper metals, giving GOLDEN GATE cables an unprecedented position under the baton of a great manufacturer.
Ground Wire
The ground wire minimizes distortion and protects against RFI interference. The basis is solid copper conductors with a perfectly smooth surface (PSC +), NDS shielding technology using a carbon layer, directionality to redirect RF noise and directly silver-plated 3/16 ” (4.8 mm) forks.
What does FP (Foamed Polyethylene) mean - Foamed polyethylene insulation
Any solid material near the conductor actually becomes part of an imperfect circuit. Cable insulation and printed circuit boards absorb energy and cause losses. Some of this energy is stored and then released in the form of distortion. Golden Gate uses air-filled foam polyethylene insulation to insulate the conductors, because air absorbs almost no energy and polyethylene is low-loss and favorable in terms of distortion. The result is noticeably less distorted sound than when using conventional materials.
Metal layer for shielding and dispersion of external influences
NDS system perfectly shields interference transmitted to the ground of the devices and thus prevents affecting the sound.
Cold-welded, gold-plated jack connectors
This solution eliminates solder from the connection equation, which is often a source of distortion. Since the connector bodies are pressed, not machined, a metal with a low tendency to distort the signal can be selected for production, instead of a metal that is easy to work with.
AudioQuest - a reliable partner
The cable range is produced by many different brands. However, this precisely crafted cable is the work of a renowned American company founded by a young, talented connoisseur William "Bill" Low. Since his youth, he loved music and art, and was engaged in the study of cables and hi-fi products. He knew that connecting cables were clearly the main cause of signal distortion, after which he began to work on a system of innovations and modifications that effectively led to the improvement of the cabling, its construction, the choice of materials, and, consequently, to better overall quality. In 1980, William “Bill” Low was already selling cables throughout Southern California and later founded AUDIOQUEST. His products spread throughout the USA and then spread throughout the world. Modern times did not slow down the development, on the contrary, they accelerated it and the success multiplied. Now the company is one of the leading manufacturers of high-performance, high-quality audio video cables and many other high-end hi-fi products.
