THUNDERBIRD GROUNDGOODY – Turntable or Subwoofer Ground Cable with Silver-Plated Wires
Unlike other ground cables that often act more like RF antennas, ThunderBird GroundGoody reduces hum while effectively dissipating high-frequency noise. It can be paired with any AudioQuest cable with RCA connectors to create a specific turntable cable. The Saturn ground wire minimizes distortion and protects against RFI interference.
ThunderBird turntable ground wire uses premium conductor materials with directional technology for even better noise dissipation. The connectors are cold-soldered to directly silver-plated size 10 forks. In addition, RF/ND technology dissipates and cancels most induced high-frequency noise.
RF/ND-TECH (Patented Radio Frequency Ground Noise Dissipation Technology)
Although ground conductors are an integral part of a component’s signal transmission, they also act as a sensitive antenna. They are subject to induced radio frequency (RF) noise. RF noise is a parasitic signal that is typically coupled directly to the most sensitive audio/video circuits in a system. AudioQuest’s RF-on-ground Noise-Dissipation (RF/ND-Tech) technology significantly reduces the resulting distortion and masking of the signal, providing an unprecedented level of noise rejection across the widest possible radio frequency bandwidth (range). The unique circuit topology utilizes a common-mode phase-dissipation array that improves linear dispersion along the entire length of the cable and is the subject of a patent from AudioQuest (U.S. Patent No. 8,988,168).
DIRECTIONAL SILVER-PLATED SOLID CORE CONDUCTORS
Solid conductors prevent electrical and magnetic interactions between individual fibers. For even better performance and noise elimination, premium long grain copper (LGC) conductors are coated with an additional 6% silver coating on the outside. This is a very cost-effective way to maximize the performance and benefit of your cable design.
