Description - Audioquest Niagara 1200 AC power filter + power cable NRG-Y3 - 2 meters 1 set

NIAGARA 1200 NET FILTER

A great system is built on a solid foundation and the foundations start with power. With the AudioQuest Niagara 1200, you'll experience for the first time the clarity, space, frequency and dynamic contrast and emphasis, features your system has always been able to transmit — only if it has the right power!
The Niagara 1200 High-End Line Filter represents more than 20 years of in-depth research that has yielded proven AC power products for audiophiles, radio technicians and professional audio applications.
The Niagara 1200 uses optimized high-frequency directional guidance; capacitors with technology developed by Jet Propulsion Laboratories for NASA and AC input and output contacts made of strongly silver-plated, extremely pure copper and beryllium copper, ensuring perfect conductivity and high system performance.
The Niagara 1200 mains filter includes non-destructive surge protection with a circuit for quick disconnection in the event of extreme overvoltage. Accepts repeated transient overvoltages and peaks up to 6000 V or 3000 A (the maximum that a home or office electrical installation can handle). Damage from electrical storms or power supply fluctuations is thus practically impossible. When the voltage values return to the safe operating range, the Niagara 1200 protection circuit automatically switches to operating mode.
Plug in a Niagara 1200 and forget about it.

The Niagara 1200 has two sockets labeled "HIGH-CURRENT" designed to maximize the power of powered amplifiers or receivers using low-impedance differential filter circuits.

The other AC outlets (five) are optimized for audio preamplifiers, DAC converters, universal players, turntables, and other digital devices or video products that use a constant current voltage for the amplifier circuitry. These sockets use the patented AC Ground Noise-Dissipation System technology, together with a sophisticated, control-optimized linear circuit to disperse noise over the widest possible band (more than 18 octaves).

TECHNOLOGY

• Ground Noise-Dissipation System: AudioQuest's patented technology that significantly reduces interference through ground wires without compromising safety or the possibility of creating low-level ground loops.

• Ultra-Linear Noise-Dissipation Technology: Noise-scattering technology that provides efficient noise scattering over the widest possible bandwidth, without the inconsistent results that are typical of minimizing multiple resonant peak nodes in many network filters.

• Low-Z AC Power Inlets and Outlets: Mains inputs and outputs with low supply voltage: These inputs and outputs offer the benefits of excellent adhesion and lower resistance of beryllium copper, but also due to strong silver plating, ensure the lowest possible impedance at higher frequencies, which allows excellent noise dispersion.

• Non-Sacrificial Surge Suppression: Accepts frequent transients and spikes up to 6000 V or 3000 A (the maximum that a home or office electrical installation can handle). Damage from electrical storms or mains fluctuations is thus practically impossible; connect the Niagara 1200 and forget about it.

The Niagara 1200 also uses optimized high-frequency directional guidance; capacitors with technology developed by Jet Propulsion Laboratories for NASA and AC input and output contacts made of strongly silver-plated, extremely pure copper and beryllium copper, ensuring perfect conductivity and high system performance.

The delivery does not include a 230 V power cable
Although the Niagara 1200 will work great with a standard power cord, it achieves optimal performance when the AudioQuest NRG Y3 power cord or a higher model (such as MONSOON or BLIZZARD) is connected. These cables are compatible with Zero Characteristic Impedance technology, allowing you to take full advantage of the potential of the Niagara 1200.

AudioQuest has been the leading manufacturer of cables for high-end and specific audio and video applications for many years. Its products are distributed in more than sixty countries, where AudioQuest focuses on providing superior value and performance across the range it develops.

No matter how perfect your AC power supply is, there is interference in virtually every cable and especially in the wires woven from individual strands. Even the most sophisticated filters and power supplies cannot effectively eliminate this cable interference.

NRG-Y3 power cables use semi-rigid long grain (LGC) conductors in a concentric arrangement in which the individual copper strands are more tightly wrapped and never change position within the bundle. This design significantly reduces distortion of fiber interactions. Higher purity and a more uniform structure of long grain copper further reduces distortion. In addition, the silver-plated connectors of the NRG-Y3 series effectively dissipate RF noise to ground.

Semi-rigid concentric wiring harness: Semi-rigid concentric wiring harnesses are used in some AudioQuest AC and speaker cables. It is a very expensive but efficient and flexible alternative to conventional multilayer conductors, in which the distortion caused by the interaction of the electric and magnetic fibers occurs because these fibers change their position inside the bundle. In a semi-rigid concentric bundle of wires, the strands inside the bundle maintain a constant position, which significantly reduces distortion. While solid conductors are a complete solution for fiber cable interference, semi-rigid conductor bundles prevent many of the interfering mechanical problems that occur with braided conductors.

Long grain (LGC) solid copper wires: LGC technology enables smoother and clearer sound than conventional OFHC copper cables. OFHC is a common metal used in industry, where losses are expected and no consideration is given to the resulting interference. In contrast, LGC copper oxidizes less because it contains fewer transitions within the material (it is smoother), fewer impurities and clearly gives better performance. The NRG-Y3 cable uses LGC fibers in a semi-rigid concentric wiring harness.

Zero impedance response: While many AC power cables have a low DC resistance to meet high current requirements, the impedance response of the cable remains no less important for optimal performance. NRG-Y3 AudioQuest AC cables combine low DC resistance and zero impedance response, resulting in uncompressed transients.

Cold welding system: This new method allows a perfect connection between the cable and the connector without the use of heat. This connection is formed by the AudioQuest cold welding system, which ensures the best connection while maintaining a completely intact overall structural integrity inside the conductor. Cold welding uses a combination of high pressure at the point of contact and the use of copper or silver paste.

Termination: 3-pin plug - IEC C13
