technology: NCF - Nano Crystal² Formula

NCF is included in selected Furutech products and contains a special crystalline material that has two "active" properties. Firstly, it creates negative ions that eliminate static electricity. Secondly, it converts thermal energy into far infrared radiation. Furutech combines this remarkable material with nano-sized ceramic particles and carbon powder for their additional "piezoelectric effect" damping properties. The resulting Nano Crystal² formula is the ultimate electrical and mechanical damping material. It was created by Furutech and is found exclusively in Furutech products.

Furutech LineFlux NCF (RCA) interconnect cables feature an OCC conductor with a solid α (Alpha) core, double-layer shielding and a high quality polyethylene dielectric and composite jacket containing a resonance damping material - Nano Crystal. Ceramic and carbon powder for improved signal transmission. They also feature RCA CF-102 NCF connectors with a special one-piece design, layered 3K silver carbon fiber on a non-magnetic stainless steel body, and a rhodium-plated OCC tube pin with injection molding of Furutech's superior anti-static and resonance damping material - NCF. The result is extremely fine resolution down low and through very low noise, improved soundstaging and image palpability, a musical, attractive, "round" midrange, dense and controlled bass, plus power and dynamics that are pro with reserve.

Faithfulness to the original event, a sense of fascination promoting suspension of disbelief, an intimate immersion in the audiovisual experience. The dilemma that many face is that poor recording values become more apparent as audio systems gain in clarity, transparency and resolution. Recordings that are acceptable on a degraded system can be annoying when bass, midrange and upper frequencies are affected.
