Furutech CF-601M/602F NCF R

Furutech introduces the high-end XLR connector CF-601M NCF. This is Furutech's first high performance symmetrical signal connector with Nano Crystal² Formula (NCF) technology.

This material is the cumulative result of more than 30 years of Furutech's efforts to eliminate electrical and mechanical resonances in signal transmission and performance in high-performance audio and video applications. The CF-601M NCF offers dramatic noise reduction, improved imaging and sharpness, and enhanced sound staging, taking your listening enjoyment to the next level.

Nano Crystal² Formula (NCF) body material and injection molded conductive pins
The CF-601M NCF has a body made of polymer resin with NCF liquid crystals. The resin contains nylon, glass fibers, nano-sized crystalline piezoceramic particles, carbon powder and Furutech's special "NCF" anti-resonance damping material. The same special NCF damping material is injected into the rhodium-plated CF-601M NCF guide pins of one-piece pure copper α (Alpha) construction - a true innovation!

The NCF material incorporated into selected Furutech products contains a special crystalline material that has two "active" properties.  Firstly, it creates negative ions that eliminate static electricity. Second, it converts thermal energy into far infrared radiation. Furutech combines this remarkable material with nano-sized ceramic particles and carbon powder for their additional "piezoelectric effect" damping properties. The resulting Nano Crystal² formula is the ultimate electrical and mechanical damping material. It was created by Furutech and is found exclusively in Furutech products.

Furutech's Alpha two-stage cryogenic and demagnetization process

Using cutting-edge technology and materials, Furutech has developed a low-temperature, two-stage process that dramatically improves all aspects of audio and video performance. The treatment begins with deep, conditioning cryogenic freezing of all metal parts during the manufacturing process. Using cutting-edge refrigerants - liquid N2 or He...

Furutech achieves temperatures ranging from -196 to -250°C. Treated parts change their molecular structure at these extreme temperatures, thereby relieving internal stresses. The molecules bond more tightly and the overall structure becomes more stable. This improves electrical conductivity and thus energy and signal transmission.

In the second step of the Alpha process, the same parts are subjected to a patented ring demagnetization treatment. Conventional high-power magnets used for this purpose often increase the magnetic effects; leaving some areas more magnetized than others. This patented process uses controlled attenuation to remove magnetization for an immediate more vibrant and colorful improvement. Ring demagnetization further increases the conductivity of all treated materials.
ALL metal parts used in Furutech products undergo the Alpha Process treatment to ensure that all connectors, wires and metal parts remain in a perfectly voltage-free, stable and highly conductive state.

- Rhodium plated α (Alpha) conductor pin with one-piece pure copper construction injected with NCF heat resistant liquid crystal polymer resin.
- Nylon, glass fibers, nano-sized crystalline piezoceramic particles, carbon powder and Furutech's special anti-resonance damping material "NCF" main body combine to form the heat-resistant NCF Liquid Crystal Polymer Resin. NCF delivers improved soundstage depth and sharpness, harmonics and tonal balance. Low frequencies are cleaner, with a greater sense of definition, made possible by reduced noise levels.
- Housing: multi-layer hybrid NCF carbon fiber housing composed of an outer hard clear coat overlaid with another layer of hybrid NCF silver plated 3k carbon fiber on a non-magnetic stainless steel housing. The best damping and isolation materials improve frequency extension and tonal balance.
- Conductors are fastened by set screw or soldering.

Too much torque when tightening screws can damage them. Recommended tightening torque values
