The PF-2 EVO+ MK3 is an enhanced version of the advanced filtering power supply designed to power and protect HI-FI audio and video systems. Better materials and components have been used in the PF-2 MK2 and the modified strips are based on, among other things, the technology solutions for the EVO series conditioners.

The PF-2EVO+ MK3 block is made of high quality components. The RLC filter type block is responsible for interference suppression. It was built based on, among others, for metallized polyester capacitors with low inductance and IP filter core (iron powder). All filter components are silver solder mounted on a massive double-sided circuit board with very large cross-section paths.

The mouldings have left out the use of traditional safety features such as fuses or thermal fuses, which restrict the free flow of currents to the protected circuits and have a negative effect on sound. Band surge protection is provided by a cascaded safety system consisting of plasma spark gaps and a new generation of UltraMOV varistors. These elements, together with properly manufactured modern wiring, guarantee comprehensive protection against surges and overcurrents.

The PF-2 MK2 uses an innovative power distribution system that is a proprietary development of the company. It is based on a massive second-generation distribution bar, made of polished copper cathode rod (Cu-ETP) of high purity. This system feeds current directly into each pair of output sockets via flanged and bolted connections. The internal wiring was constructed from 4 QMM conductors made of silver plated anoxic copper insulated with Teflon FEP. The use of a star connected topology and high conductivity and fixed cross section of the order of 30 QMM each of the rails allows for uniform and stable power distribution regardless of the load condition of the output terminals.

The PF-2 MK2 rail is equipped with six high quality GigaWatt G-040 Schuko type power sockets, which are designed and manufactured in-house. The brass socket contacts have been factory made with silver without the use of intermediate metals such as copper or nickel plating that could cause adverse series resistance and voltage drop. The enlarged contact area and thick layer of silver ensure reliable contact with the plug pins. In addition, the sockets have been subjected to cryogenic modification and a demagnetization process. To ensure effective protection against access by children, the G-040 sockets have been equipped with integrated barriers against electric shock (increased contact protection according to VDE 0620). The PF-2 MK2 is also available in versions with NEMA 5-20R power receptacles,

All internal elements of the lamella have been enclosed in a metal housing with double chassis. Everything is perfectly sealed. This protects against interior RFI and EMI interference. The strip is also equipped with an LED indicating proper operation of the device and a system indicating incorrect polarity of the mains supply or when the correct connection to ground is not working.

GigaWatt Powersync is the latest basic power cable designed for Hi-Fi audio-video systems. This cable is also a standard addition to our conditioners and rails.

The cable's working conductors are made of 99,997% pure copper (OFHC C10100), additionally subjected to an annealing process to obtain a homogeneous structure and better conductivity.

Five strands of high conductivity 1.5 mm2 are arranged in a strand with a newly developed geometry. This ensures a reliable, non-rotating current flow and prevents faults at the output. The low cable resistance caused by the cross-section of the conductors and the way they are connected to the connectors guarantees a huge current margin. On the other hand, its relatively large intrinsic capacitance, which results from the geometry of the conductors and the properties of the dielectric, provides excellent filtering and suppression properties for a wide range of faults.

The conductors are insulated with a new, flexible PK90AT28 insulation material with a very low dielectric constant. The outer sheath is made of GA 70AT03, a soft insulating material that suppresses unwanted vibrations. The cable cores are protected by a static shield made of laminated aluminium foil with an internal copper current wire. The hermetic shielding structure covering 100% of the cable surface perfectly protects against any external interference. At the same time, the shielding prevents the occurrence and propagation of internal disturbances and also draws the collected currents into the ground wire.

The cable is equipped with high quality connectors with a large contact area that ensures reliable current flow. The contacts have undergone a demagnetization process. All conductors are mechanically connected without soldering, which guarantees reliability and optimal performance.
