A very good compromise between price and utility value. If you need a biwiring connection to your equipment, this is the ideal solution. If you have large floorstanding speakers, then the eight wires in this cable are a must for good, solid bass! The 507 series connectors offer high quality silver plated terminals to help the mids and highs to their focus, clarity and natural believable space in the recording, this is what copper wire will not give you! If you have rackmount speakers, or a weaker amplifier, typically 2x80W consider for example a Type9 cable, which while it doesn't offer bi-wiring capability, has half the conductors in PSC+ quality and those are enough for your rackmount speakers and the amplifier won't have as much work to do with many conductors, making the sound more dynamic-fast.

 "Double Star-Quad" - The sophisticated combination of extraordinary materials and superbly thought-out high-tech design allows for exemplary, flawless audio signal transmission fully in the spirit of Audioquest's core idea of "Do No Harm". This motto can be translated as trying to affect or damage the original signal as little as possible. Therefore, the Rocket 33 conductors are made from a carefully engineered combination of high purity LGC long grain select copper and PSC smooth finish copper. LGC means fewer transients within the material structure, and therefore noticeably less sound distortion and better performance, while the breathtaking smoothness and clarity of PSC further eliminates "harshness" in the sound and improves clarity.

Other technologies that place the Audioquest Rocket 33 cable among the top:

Carbon-Based Noise Dissipation and Cross-Talk-Dissipation (Noise and Crosstalk Absorption Systems): coating the negative conductors with a special layer of partially conductive polyethylene containing carbon. This exceptional material absorbs noise, which is not transmitted back to the amplifier. The positive conductors are then insulated using nitrogen-injected polyethylene foam, as it is low-loss and favourable in terms of interference and signal distortion.

Double Star-Quad geometry: the relative position of the conductors and their correct arrangement define the basic electrical properties of the cable (capacitance and inductance). However, even when these properties are kept in reasonable balance, the relative relationship of the conductors can greatly affect the resulting sound. The Double Star-Quad concept of the Rocket 33 cable offers much better characteristics (dynamic contrast and intelligibility) than if the same conductors were run in parallel.

Spread Spectrum Technology (SST). SST is a method that greatly reduces signal imperfections by carefully combining conductors with different cross-sections. As a result, the Rocket 33 delivers a clean, clear and dynamic sound.

Series 507 BANANA connectors have gold or silver plating on a high quality solid purple copper base metal (banana plugs, set of 6 for Bi-Wire applications)

The precious pure metal is applied directly to the purple copper as a thick layer without the commonly used interlayer that can cause losses. No underlying brass layers are used on Series 507 BANANA connectors, which would inevitably cause distortion or otherwise damage the sound. An efficient cold soldering system is used for series 507 BANANA connectors. Simply use the supplied Allen wrench to tighten the screws on the connection and thread a sleeve of ABS plastic resistant to magnetic interference onto the connector. Everything is fast and efficient. The high-quality connector housing is made of a patented ceramic-like material and has the advantage of strong resistance to interference. Includes 6 colour-coded connectors (3 x red and 3 x black connectors). With regard to the directionality of the cables, the connectors are also labelled with a description (Speaker + Amp).
